Th*tCanadianGuy said: For the other person that may like Wilson Staff, I decided these deserve there own thread. I'm not sure if I like them yet.
Th*tCanadianGuy said: Yeah, I like 'em.
*ndy_79 said: No matte what folk may say or think, they are Legends in the golfing industry.
*quipmentjunkie said: are those forged?
J*FF4i said: Those are definately hot. If I could find a deal on em, I can't say I'd resist.
Lyl*G said: Are these Callaway clones?
J*FF4i said: Lyle! You should be ashamed! Wilson is much older and better than Callaway.

Your opinion dosen't matter.:D ------- They do have a cally look to them but I dont think it's a bad one. probably not forged I have no idea I haven't been able to read anything about them. Pi8 makes me think we will see them next year:( :real angry:
Lyl*G said: The only good wilson was one Tommy Hanks was nailing on that stupid island. ;)

Y*ungun5 said: i'd go for another set of Pi5's before i would go for those. pretty chunky
*quipmentjunkie said: how do the pi5's feel BTW? I don't know anybody playing them and kinda wondered how they compare to other forgings.
Th*tCanadianGuy said: Quote: Originally Posted by Youngun5 i'd go for another set of Pi5's before i would go for those. pretty chunky I would have to see them in person. Might be a nice upgrade though. Might be a little less heel weighted in the shorties. Defo. not an 'ugly' club . I think I would straight up swap them for my 5's.

Y*ungun5 said: they aren't forged, they look good at address to me, and perform well, they definitely don't have that forged feel but that so called "buttery" feel that forged clubs are supposed to give doesn't excite me all that much, i prefer a little more abrupt feel so these are working great for me however if you need that forged feel these prolly aren't for you. great blend of workability and forgiveness, good trajectory an awesome set for what i got them for. those srixon's you have are sweet, they'll prolly be my next irons whenever the time comes, but i'm playing the Pi5's for all they're worth
Th*tCanadianGuy said: Perhaps the new Fi5's aswell.
*quipmentjunkie said: yea those fi5's are sweet. If you want a soft iron definitely try the 506's. Some of the best forgings out in my opinion.....I've hit every Mizuno out and can't find one softer....the mp 37's are close.

I didn't think the pi5's were forged - I thought that's why they offered their fi5 blades. I've demo'd the Pi5's, thought they had good feedback and were pretty workable - in the end, I decided my next set of irons would be custom fit - I'm leaning towards the wishon's or KZGs right now I do like the look of these - hate to admit it, but I kinda like the look of their Di7's too
*quipmentjunkie said: see post #17, I was mistaken.
Th*tCanadianGuy said: Ooop..they have changed the design before the September release( i think sept.)
w*rbirdlover said: I like the looks of those. My first good set of irons were Wilson cavity backs long ago. :)
*dam Pettman said: I like the looks of the Pi7's but the black bit with W/S makes them look a little cheap.
*sa1950 said: I still play Wison Staff Forged Cavity Backs... and they are older than the forum.. but I still love em. Those fi5's are VERY nice indeed. Chalk me up as the second Wison Staff guy around here!
F*tzpatrick said: They don't look too bad. But I like the look of my Pi5's better.
