W*st Coast Duffer said: I tried a 3I for a while, it felt pretty good and very very long. Its does not have a hard iron feel like some other hybrids.
R*ckinMA said: before replacing 3-4-5 irons, just make sure they'll fit with your 6,7,8...etc irons a lot of times, the lofts are jacked on hybrids (plus the long shafts, etc) so you may find that a 4 hybrid is like a 3 iron and a 5 hybrid is like a 4 iron - see how long you hit them and then see where they fit in your bag it's not uncommon to see 4h, 5h, 5i, 6i, 7i...... and welcome to shottalk
z*phod said: Depends on what you want to do with the hybrid. I love my Nickent 14* 4dx. It kicked my 3 wood out of the bag as it is longer and way easier to hit. I also like the Nike CPR hybrids. The scooped back wood like ones are stupid simple to use but working the ball is an issue. The CPR ironwoods give me a higher ball flight which I need at my home course to cheat. Cutting multiple doglegs over trees. I stop at 5 iron then go with 4 hybrids. As previously posted check you distances. mine fit in but yours. Also check your ball flight. If its commonly windy in your area may want a more boring flight such as Nickent 3dx. If not you can not beat those high soft landings to hold the greens. Drop and stop
