My Ho's of 2008. (so far)
M*nchesterGolfer said: I'm happy with my bag but just a little final tweaking for the 2008 season. So far I've ho'd a pair of Cobra speed pro fairways 15 & 18 degrees. Ho'd the 15 degree from 3 balls via Ebayer. It said on the listing like new condition and when it arrived today, it is actually new with the shrink wrap still on the head & it only cost $83 dollars! (plus $30 shipping). I've also got on the way a Scotty DeTour 34" in mint condition. I demo'd the detour a lot when it first arrived in the shops last year and liked it a lot but wasn't prepared to pay £180 ($360). I managed to pick it up for a bargain £66.44 which i'm happy to pay for a backup putter. It's coming via USPS so hopefully it will be here for the start of the season  I have a Geek DCT coming via IG and i've got a choice of shafting it with either a GD Purple Ice x-flex or a BiMatrix proto s-flex. Looking forward to trying this it's 12 degrees but IG says it plays more like a 10.5 head. So now there's just a new gap wedge & bag on the horrizon! Oh, I've also ho'd a Cally FT5 Tour & a Ping G2 but they were for friends needing legal drivers. I'm waiting for my Cally FT5 Tour to be replaced by Callaway, it should be here this week by all accounts but they said that before christmas as well!
w*rbirdlover said: Just getting the KE4 Maltby 3-wood put together by zaphod. Got a Adams BUL coming to play with (probably stick a UST V2 LD shaft in it) but G2 driver is gamer for now. New shafts on the hybrids. I just need to stock up on balls and I'm ready. :)
M*nchesterGolfer said: BTW, I want one of these if anybody knows of one going cheap ($75)ish in any pro shop or anything.Attachment 6187
Cl*mson said: I would have sold you my detour for $75. It has only played 5 rounds

How many guys who have taken some time, and spent some money, getting fit, bothered to ho like a cretin? Ez is being honest with himself, fair play to him, and Paul has admitted he has a mental desease, can't blame either of them, but surely we should start this year with a common goal in here, to all get fit properly.

I agree, I got fit for my irons last spring and I couldn't be happier with them. I'm going back this year for my driver and fairway woods. I may even go with a hybrid to replace my 5w...

Logic says that you are indeed correct. However, getting fitted for clubs is like getting married. You are eliminating the joy of the dating process. The joy of first encounters with clubs that grab your eye with their sexy smiles; when all the while, deep in your heart, you know they aren't for you. But you hope. You hope. Getting fitted means you've been through all the questions and discussions about whether she's right for you. You've made that committment to only one. Sure, you can always get a divorce and move on, but who's to say you won't question yourself from that point on? "Did I get fitted properly the first time?" "Maybe my swing has changed?" And who wants to get married again right after they've been divorced? We ho because we're never satisfied with what we've got. We ho because we are men.

I am trying to decide on some new irons and I am going try a lot of different ones before I buy this time. I can't decide between trying a Maltby CT 250 or a 905R.

I prefer muted sounding drivers (aka 905R, 580XD)

Oh I understand what your saying. Yeah I'm planning on getting some Gamers. And the box of Pro V1's are 14 bucks so they are cheaper than most other golf balls.

Or you talking about the X outs or possibly the "hunter" style?
mdd*bya said: My new CT250 Driver with the UST V2 Stiff flex arrived today, I can't wait to hit the range with it. I also have a McGregor The Fat Lady Swings putter and Mizuno wedges, MP T's in 56* and 60* on the way. Seems like I ordered something else, but I can't remember now? Some body make the voices go away, they keep saying, "Buy more clubs, buy more clubs."

Driver's working fine for now, so do the CG4s, however, I'm thinking about some Hogan irons. You guys are just a bad influence.:real angry::laugh:
