Reshafting a putter????
W*-Golfer said: Just wondering out loud here, has any reshafted a putter & what would be the purpose behind doing so other than to replace a damaged shaft? Are there any possible advantages to replacing one? And lastly has anyone ever seen a graphite shafted one?
BSt*ne said: I have a putter with the UST Frequency Filtered putter shaft, it is graphite at the top and steel at the bottom, is supposed to give the putter a softer feel. I also have a putter with a Fujikura shaft in it, very nice feel and it looks really cool.
W*-Golfer said: How would you determine what type of graphite shaft to install? Would you want it stiff or perhaps something in a ladies type flex would work better? Would flex even matter in a putter shaft?
BSt*ne said: Fujikura makes a putter specific shaft, good luck finding one though, they are very difficult to get a hold of. I'll get you a picture of it at some point, my father is using it at the moment.
