Friends, We received information late last week concerning pricing and availability. We have signed off on the production model approval and expect product in mid to late April. Manufacturer's suggested retail price is $19.99. Our shipping price will be $5.99. We will be completing set up for orders this week and have pricing posted on our website very soon. We are hopeful to begin taking pre-orders before April 1st. Getting close!!!! Thank you, The Jones

J*rmour said: I actually asked someone at a Golf Smith and they said the guy came into that show with hardly any money. He also had to fight for a patent. This is what they're telling the workers at their store anyway, who really knows what's going on in that place.

R35 I was expecting that I would buy one of these the first time I saw one. I figured as cheap as it would be, there would be little harm. $19.99 for something that should likely have a price point of $2-3, I think my towel and bending over to pick up my clubs will do just fine. I can't believe that has a price point of $20. Actually the reason I thought it should win was because with the price point, they would be flying off the shelves and deserved to win. With that price point, I would have laughed them off the show and said "So, you want us to pay $20 for a big clothespin?" Even a $2, I figured it is likely a fad and I would only use it a few times and stop out of inconvenience, and would likely go back to a towel and bending over to fetch my clubs. But $2 for a fad, no big deal, in the sense that it may pan out. At $20, it seems as though they are saying you will still be bending over after all. BOHICA :D

The group that "invented" that imnpact tape spent millions. Yes - MILLIONS. I think the 25 pack for $3 that's already on the market kinda beat you to it, no? Ridiculous. I suppose, using golfers, who are the most fickle and brainless bunch of idiots (next to the Bush administration), they're hoping to see a huge rush of "gotta have it" purchases before everyone notices that it's the same old, same old. Perhaps their gold rush is a flash in the pan, but will amount to something ridiculous profit-wise. R35

P* Jayhawk said: With a $20 price point, I would be stunned if he were to make Millions. I don't think there are that many stupid golfers in the world. ;) However I would not have been surprised to see him make millions had he set the price at $2-3. I mean, how much can this thing cost to make, you can buy like 50 clothespins for a few bucks. They will probably fly out of the clearance bin at the end of the year for $2 a piece, but by that time they will be out of production and it will likely be too late. edit 1 - actually with the time it's taken to produce, and the price, you would have to wonder if he is making and assembling these thing by hand.

It was NOT the same as the impact tape that's currently on the market. Their invention allowed you to "reset" the mark after each hit. Far more useful than the jumbled mess of marks you get with the current type. The clothespin? Stupid.

g*atster said: i was planning on ordering a couple till i got there letter and seen the price.figured with shipping i could get a one for me and one for my league partner and spend about $10 after shipping. guess i will have to stick with sticking a tee in the ground when its wet.

It takes about 10 swings to find out if you're hitting the center of the head or not. You can use duct tape and it will do the same thing. For the record, there are many, many versions of impact tape, including those that are so similar to this, it's like reinventing the wheel. Considering the money that these guys threw at this, it was a pointless venture and i'm sure they're both working at Walmart now. R35

T*pflite_D2 said: Wow what a worthless idea IMO. Its called putting the da** club in the bag. I could buy a $2.99 spring clamp from Menards that would do the same thing. Why didn't he just donate $40,000 to find a cure for cancer or something useful like that.

J*rmour said: I did an ebay search for Club Caddy and two or three replicas came up. Not as visually nice as the original but they would do the job. Not saying that the clothespin is a nice design the other ones are just fugly.
