R7 TP/Shaft question...

B*gJim13 said: I am strongly considering putting a UST V2 76g shaft in my R7. Are there any TM players that have had any experience with this head/shaft combo? If not I am open to other suggestions as well (just dont say a Diamana, just cant afford that right now http://www.shottalk.com/forum/images/icons/icon10.gif). Thanks All!

Cl*gnut said: Diamana! Sorry, couldn't resist. Actually, ROMBAX!!!!!!

BSt*ne said: The shaft you have in there is an early version of the Diamana Blue Board 73 gram shaft. What are you looking to get from another shaft?

*zra76 said: The v2 67 was high and right for me. http://www.shottalk.com/forum/images/icons/icon10.gif Oh, and that infamous pop up.

g*nning4u said: I have that same shaft in mine and I like it a lot. I cut it down a half inch and it is the best combo I have owned. It launches it high but it is still has boring ball flight and doesn’t balloon. For the money it’s a very good shaft and I like it better then the reax and NV I have hit with this same driver head.

BSt*ne said: I played a V2 85 gram model, liked it much better than any of the regular retail models out there, extremely low torque and a flatter launch than any of the others. The OFFICIAL UST TOUR SHOP

Actually to be honest, I am quite happy with my whole bag set up at this point. I just am on a kick right now that I need to buy something or change something. I like the V2 shaft...so there we have it. I guess if anything I would switch out my 3w shaft for the V2.... PS-so if the shaft I have is an early version how does it compare??? Also how do I get an 85g V2? Thanks!

As far as getting a V2 85, you would need to find a UST Tour dealer, I know that Joe Kwok on WRX is an authorized dealer and can get you one. No idea about cost, I was trying a shaft my buddy had for Jim Furyk.

I need a high bend point to maintain any sort of control. I'm using my 6's. I either go 1,6,6,12 or 4,6,8,8.
