wedges...flatter?
P*NGELI said: I have noticed that some touring pros have their sand wedges, lob wedges, etc one degree or so flatter than their irons. Does anyone else use this type of set-up? If so, what are the benefits or disadvantages? I have also heard of people using wedge shafts that are softer than their iron shafts. Any input would be great. I am debating on whether or not to have my sand wedge bent 1 more degree upright to match my irons

BSt*ne said: Both of my wedges (sand and lob) are one degree flatter than my irons. The reason for this is that most shots with these two clubs are hit with the face open, the flatter lie angle allows the leading edge to remain closer to the ground when the face is open.
SCG*lfer said: My irons are standard with my 52 and 60 being 2* flat. I had a tendency to miss left with my wedges so I went flatter, also went to a stiffer shaft. Play regular flex in my irons and 5.5 rifles in my wedges. The difference is pretty amazing if you ask me. Jason
